Miranda Nickel Project

The Miranda Nickel Project occupies an area of approximately 399km2 , immediately north of the township of Agnew and covers the interpreted southern extension of the Mt Goode ultramafic belt.  The project is located some 40 kilometres northwest of Breakaway's Wildara Project and 6 kilometres south of Jubilee's Cosmos-Prospero nickel complex (approximately 450,000 tonnes of published contained nickel resources).

While the surface geology is widely obscured by transported cover, magnetics indicate that at Miranda North, the prospective Mt Goode ultramafic unit, that hosts the Cosmos-Prospero Deposit, possibly extends for at least 11 kilometres under cover on the tenements.  This unit was explored only superficially for nickel in the early 1970's, with nickel exploration dormant since that time.

Owing to priorities associated with brownfields projects elsewhere, particularly at Wildara, exploration on Miranda during the year was limited to geological reconnaissance work which highlighted several areas of nickel interest beneath extensive surface cover.  It is planned to evaluate these areas as the broader priorities allow.

On the Pinnacles Well ultramafic belt to the south, there area several TEM anomalies that require follow up.
